thepensivebrony:

“you shouldn’t be depressed, people have it worse than you”

finally, after years of searching, the person with the worst life ever is found. formally, they are granted permission to be sad. but only them. only they have earned it. no sads for anyone else at all ever

When a woman announces she has exciting news, don’t assume it must be that she’s either engaged or pregnant. The scope of our gender’s contributions to society is far greater than perpetuation of the human species.

Do not settle for less than exactly what you want. Your heart’s desires are there for a reason. Chase them. Pursue them relentlessly. Do not lose sight of your goals. They are your very reason for being.

I can get my head turned by a good-looking guy as much as the next girl. But sexy doesn’t impress me. Smart impresses me, strength of character impresses me. But most of all, I am impressed by kindness. Kindness, I think, comes from learning hard lessons well, from falling and picking yourself up. It comes from surviving failure and loss. It implies an understanding of the human condition, forgives its many flaws and quirks. When I see that in someone, it fills me with admiration.

Regardless of whether it’s displayed in a romantically interested context, compassion and understanding for others will always be my favourite human quality.

I have a triple to myself this summer.

My own bathroom, kitchen, living room, and a bedroom.

That also means I have three beds, three closets, three desks, three desk chairs, and three dressers.

What do I do with all this stuff?!

I’ll put together the three beds in the bedroom and make a huge bed. I’ll probably arrange the three desks and make a big table?

But I don’t actually have that much stuff, especially not decorative stuff. I have no rugs, nicknacks, things to put on my wall… Even though I’ll be there for 11 weeks, I’m not sure it’s worth it to buy stuff. Opinions?
